Hi,I’ve been getting my first FBA shipment ready and honestly the hardest part has been printing the FNSKU labels! I have thoroughly read the forums to locate the best printer and labels and was following instructions for these labels and printer explicitly (or so I thought!) but I was never successful in printing the labels.
Dymo LabelWriter Printers. Dymo LabelWriter Printers connect to your PC or Mac (and now there's new WiFi models), and these labels printers enable to you print anything from Address and Shipping labels right through to Name Badges and Jewelry Labels.
They would print sideways and only half of the printing would be displayed. THANK YOU to Funky Monkey for all his advice here and the great tutorial Word doc he put together.
I was tearing my hair out because although I was following the settings suggested, I could never print the labels correctly.THEN, as I was looking at his Word tutorial, I noticed the print dialog box he showed was different than mine. I was opening the PDF file downloaded from Amazon which opens in a browser window and doesn’t display the same print settings. So, I decided to save this file to my local drive and open it in Adobe Acrobat and VOILAcorrectly printed labels!!! Yes, I did a happy dance! One thing I have had issues with, though, and it may just be a Windows 10 or Acrobat issue on my local machine, but when I print directly from the PDF doc on my local drive, the barcode and text is at the lower end of each label. As an easy workaround, I take a snapshot of the label in the PDF using the “Take a snapshot” option in the Edit menu and it centers the barcode and text exactly on each label. This all may be covered before in the forums to save the PDF to your local drive rather than trying to print directly from the downloaded PDF file from Amazon, but I wanted to share just in case other sellers were having the same printing issues with the Dymo 450 and 30334 labels.NOW I’m finally getting my first shipment box out the door!!Thanks again to all who share info here.
It really, really helps! Hockey Town:Where do you enter the label dimensions?
This is seriously driving me crazy. Clickandlabel stopped working and everything is printing the short way and I’m trying everything. I’m on a mac, is that the problem? That’s a good question. Nobody’s ever asked that before.Have you tried just the 44-up label format, and printing on 30334 Dymo Multi-purpose Labels? If not, you should be able to get to your +Paper/Output+ in your +Advanced Options+ and select it.If all else fails, send a PM to:mostinnovativedisplaynameforasellerever (UserID 1186813)He’s the resident Dymo 450 expert. Then, let us know the results?Funky. I’m on a mac, is that the problem?Just to let you knowI went back and reviewed my discussion with +mostinnovativedisplaynameforasellerever+, and realized he was using ListLabel at the time.I sent a message him a PM and am waiting to hear back from him. I will let you know as soon as I do.FunkyP.S.
It’s something I also need to know. PunctualPenguin:Yup you can. I just noticed all the label sizes are available to select. I had just created the custom size. The key on mac seems to be – make sure to crop the label once you print with the 44 upThen prints like a charm.
If you don’t crop the label will not print right.HmmThere have only been a handful of Mac/Dymo users that have come to the Forums over the past few years. These had Dymo 4XL’s, and the regular instructions worked for them. How are printing your +Shipping and Box Labels?+Funky. Hey Funky Monkey,First off, thanks so much for all of this great info on printing with a Dymo.
Like some I have used ClickandLabel and that stopped working for me last week. Of course I sent in a support request and still have not heard back from them.
So your thread is and will be more vital as more folks end up having problems with ClickandLabel.I have read all the threads and even downloaded your info (very helpful thank-you) but I am embarrassed to say, I am not seeing the option on where to print out one SKU at a time. All I see is the entire shipment, which does go to PDF like you said. BUT I can’t seem to locate the place where you show the option of just printing off one SKU at a time. Is this feature still available? Thanks again for all your help! BUT I can’t seem to locate the place where you show the option of just printing off one SKU at a time. Is this feature still available? Thanks again for all your help! You’re welcome, and thank you.If you just want to print one SKU, and not bother having to go through the Workflow, you can just use the +Print item labels+ function from the Drop Down Box next to your product listing. Just select the default to print 1 label, and enter the number you want in the Dymo +Copies+: box.If you want to print several/all SKU’s in your Shipping Plan, you need to select the first one on the list, remove all the other defaults, and print that label x number of times. Then, move on to the next. You can’t just print the entire batch of labels for the shipment, as you would with Avery 30-up labels. But, the process goes really fast.
I have my Dymo set as the Default Printer, so I just click on the download, and tab to how many labels I want to print, close the window and move onto the next.Funky. GNE123:Hey Funky Monkey,I keep trying to locate your screenshot in my workflow and I can’t find it. I just created a Shipping Plan with 2 MSKU’s like you. When I go to my Prepare Shipment area, it shows the 2 items, see screenshot.
When I go back to the “Print Labels” section, only one shows up but even then there is no box for me to input how many labels I want to print. (See Screenshot)I’m on a Mac, does that matter? I wouldn’t think so but you never know. There have been a few users with Macs, but the process still worked the same.I’m not exactly sure how you got to where you are?Have you chosen the option to apply Amazon Barcodes in your FBA Settings Profile? What happens when you click on the tab for +All Products+?When you get to the Label Products Step in the Workflow, what else is on the screen?See my creenshot. If need be, send me a PM so we can figure this one out.Funky.
